Podcaster, Executive & Leadership Coach
I REMEMBER THE MOMENT I KNEW SOMETHING HAD TO CHANGE.
I walked off stage after taking a bow to an elated audience, completing another performance of Roméo et Juliette, and went home to an empty apartment I had been given by the company. The washing machine was broken, I hadn’t had time to pick up groceries so there wasn’t any food left for a late dinner, and I had missed another birthday party back home. I remember thinking….this can’t be it. I had worked my entire life to create the career I had, and now that I was on the path, I was miserable.
I worked with a coach myself, and soon learned all the ways I was creating my life from proving, fear, and running. I was always looking for the next thing that would make me feel accomplished. The next thing that would make me believe I was enough. And I never stopped to look in the mirror.
It took courage and support, and I quickly became the leader of my life.
